First introduced in the SuperMaxx 3000 (Green) in 1998.
A safety valve feature added inbetween the air source of the blaster and barrel of a blaster that is used to limit the output that is effectively propelling darts from the barrel.
When a dart is loaded into the barrel it depresses the prongs on the top of the valve to open it. Even when open they add considerable restriction.

Because of their negative effect on blaster performance they are almost always the first part of any blaster removed when a Modification is performed.
