Although the name refers to one specific type of stock micro dart due to that type being readily available in bags of 30, like the micro dart mesh bags, "CDTs" can be made from any stock dart by simply trimming off the hollow or suction cup rubber tip and adhering a weight into the end using hot glue.

Their performance usually is not as good as Stefans and are definitely not as economical to produce.
