Daemon and Cain are integrations (now both retired) created by Evil of the Lawn Chair Mafia. Both guns utilized a Crossbow shell, in which two single barreled PVC modded SuperMaxx 1500s were stacked and aligned; giving them a rough appearance comparable to a combat shotgun. Both were particularly front heavy due to the positioning of the barrels and internals towards the front of the shell. The success of the first two incarnations in 2002 and 2003 may be attributed to GoodTwin, who provided the materials and helped the first two projects. A third gun of its kind was created by One Man Clan for Evil in 2004. All three have become progressively cleaner in appearance.
All three guns can only be used by a right-handed individual, because the firing mechanism of the top barrel is only available for use by the left hand.
Evil maintains that the initial idea came about because at the time he considered sidearms cumbersome and wanted more than one primary in an effective package or integration.

Benefits
Daemon and Cain are capable of effectively firing two shots in rapid succession or at the same time, upwards of 80+ feet. In terms of reloading, the guns offered the user a chance to fire once and reload that spent barrel while having the second barrel primed and ready; the benefit being that at any time a shot could be fired if barrels were alternated.
The Names
Though silly, the names Daemon and Cain were a convenient way of describing something totally new. Because the guns could not be called 1500s or Crossbows (as they were a combination of both), a name was required to differentiate between what one might see looking at the outside of the guns and what one would find inside them. Daemon is an "old English" style of spelling the word "Demon". Cain echoed the biblical motif by referring to the story (found in Genesis) in which the first earthly murder is committed by Cain against his brother Abel.
