Death by Foam

Death by Foam was a comic strip written and illustrated by Groove, and is essentially a revised and re-worked version of the original Nerfaholics. It was developed exclusively for use at Nerf Haven and featured many of the same antics and humor found within Nerfaholics. It also featured a new drawing style which was similar to Nerfaholics: tighter linework, more fluidity, and the incorporation of backgrounds in many of the later strips. As the comic progressed, so did the style - however it still remained black & white in a 3-4 panel layout just like it's predecessor, Nerfaholics.

Cameo appearances by many notable members within the community were often, and featured recognizable characters such as Spoon and VACC. It also featured several characters that were in the original Nerfaholics, such as the infamous Forum Troll, and Mr. LaKinko. The two main characters were adapted from Nerfaholics, named Arlo and Jackson who were often times thrown into bizarre situations with strange outcomes. There was little or no indication of a continuing storyline as the humor was often times random or alluded to many community-specific terms or people. It ran for roughly 3 years from 2002-2005, with 2003 being the most active year, and contained a total of 22 strips.
