Guru

The primary weapon and weapon of choice for User:Groove. It is comprised of a "compound" integration of a heavily modified Crossbow and a Splitfire underneath the main barrel. It features all brass barrels, completely reinforced internals, and a custom-painted 40's pinup girl on the side.
Looking to create a versatile combination of long range accuracy with a medium-short range punch, User:Groove created the first widely-known "compound" integration known as the Guru. A very simple yet effective design, it features a heavily modified Crossbow with a trimmed shell to fit a Splitfire beneath the main barrel. It holds a strong likeness to the M4A1 with a "Masterkey" shotgun system installed, which was used as the inspiration. He currently uses the second version of the Guru, with improved internal stability, reinforcement, as well as several other improvements upon the original design. It has survived three cross-country trips out to Armageddon, in California.
There are only two known adaptations from the original design and concept, used by User:Crankymonky and User:Falcon. User:Crankymonky has used his own version of the Guru as a primary in the past, and in tribute to the original has also utilized Groove's actual version one Crossbow shell. User:Falcon has also adapted the Guru design using his own modification principles, utilizing a modified Airtech 2000 turret on each of the Splitfire barrels creating a more complex yet similarly effective weapon.
