HershFEST (formerly GnomeFEST) is an annual East Coast nerf war held in Tindall Park, in Central New Jersey. The war is usually held some time in late August or early September, and is typically the last war of the summer before the kiddies have to go back to school. The war is currently hosted by One Man Clan (AKA Hersh, or OMC).

GnomeFEST2
Hasbro sends representatives from their design and engineering teams who provide attendees with free pizza, t-shirts, and nerf guns. The construction site for the local Library is used for a Doom-like game of Deathmatch. Fred slips in the tub and can't come.
GnomeFEST3
First recorded instance of nerfers nerfing while hung over. Talio assists with hosting. The 'Philly Kids' show up and are subsequently never heard from again. A huge last man standing pistol only war takes place in the rain across 8 tennis courts between over 30 people. Of the last three standing, two shoot each other simultaneously, and Talio wins by default. Fred pukes in the woods and goes home.
Origins as GnomeFEST
The war was originally called GnomeFEST and hosted by the Lawn Gnome Liberation Front. Initially, Langley ran the event and was later assisted by Talio before Langley moved out of the area and OMC took over. Following with the LGLF's early practice of styling itself as a parody of the Lawn Chair Mafia (LCM), it was the LGLF's answer to the Apocalypse.
