An air-powered fully automatic blaster with a ten barrel auto-advancing clip. Internal mechanism is based on the PowerClip with the only difference being the location of the latex bladder that is used to store and regulate the air used to fire the darts and advance the clip. But unlike the PowerClip no modification is needed to allow the clips to be removed, and an extra clip is included.

A Yellow and Red version was later released in 2008 promoting the movie Iron Man, called the Iron Man Stark Industries N.R.F. Blaster.

A second version of the Magstrike (this one N-Strikeafied) was released in 2008, named the Magstrike AS-10, it was a bit more powerful than the older models. This version has a yellow paintjob, does not come packaged with a second clip, and has slightly improved performance compared to the original Magstrike. This is due to the removal of a hole in the piece that seals against the backside of the clip. Other internal differences may exist but have not yet been found. This blaster is currently being sold as a Target exclusive.

Stock performance is mediocre, but the upper limits of the gun's performance when modified have been explored in a good deal of depth to allow greater range and more shots per tank fill. This blaster (and most of the other air-powered automatics) are fairly easy to hook up to alternate air sources, such as homemade high-capacity tanks or paintball tanks with adjustable output regulators.

Quality Control Issues

The original magstrike has had some quality control issues since its introduction and many units have had irreparable leaking right-out-of-the-box. If the Magstrike you just purchased is making any kind of leaking sounds or cannot fire more than 4 darts after being pumped the number of time indicated in the manual, return it to the store immediately.
