McMaster-Carr is a supplier of industrial fabrication supplies. The Plusbow is made entirely out of parts ordered from McMaster-Carr. Because of the rising popularity of the Plusbow, nerfers frequently refer simply to part numbers without mentioning McMaster-Carr by name under the assumption that people know what catalog they are referring to.
